With cannabis becoming socially acceptable, many people are interested in trying it for the first time or want to revisit an old hobby. Whether users are looking to help with pain relief, anxiety, or just want to have a fun relaxing time, they look to cannabis. Unfortunately, newer users are often faced with an overwhelming amount of products. Beyond having a multitude of choices, each and every one of us has a unique endocannabinoid system that determines what’s best for us, meaning recommendations differ for each user. These can be frustrating barriers into the world of cannabis. For this reason, we always want to help educate consumers about the products they’re consuming in order to make the best personal decisions. Then there are some companies like Little Saints, who take the guesswork out of the product to ensure a safe and smooth experience for new users, users with lower tolerances, and users looking for a great microdosing tool.
Little Saints is a Detroit grown brand, specializing in high end cannabis products, with the goal of elevating the mental well-being of their consumers. Megan Klein, founder and terpene queen, joined us recently to share more about the passion behind the brand. It was after a holistic retreat that Megan saw a business opportunity. She wanted to share some of the joy and gratitude she found within natural medicine, and went for it. Megan naturally set her sights on creating a different type of cannabis product. She wanted to make cannabis more accessible and safe for users who were cannabis curious, instead of typical products that are geared towards more experienced users looking for high potency products. With that, she set out to make a high end, low dose product she could stand behind.
Coming from a successful career in holistic food supply as the founder of plant based brand, Field + Farmer, it was imperative her products use the highest quality ingredients. The Little Saints product line uses non-GMO, vegan, low sugar ingredients. This is what makes her product a healthier alternative to others on the market. Aside from the high-end ingredients, each product is formulated with the proprietary Little Saints triple stack: nano-emulsified cannabinoids, high-end botanical terpenes, and reishi mushroom extract for products developed specifically for euphoria. This attention to detail is what makes Little Saints stand out from the pack.
The current Little Saints product line in Michigan offers two different flavors of CBD Plant Magic Mocktails and two flavors of THC Gummies. The mocktails are a light and refreshing beverage, designed to help users feel less anxious and more social. These can be used in replacement of alcoholic drinks, which offers users a healthier alternative to taking the edge off, while still receiving the warm blanket of comfort that a glass of wine could bring. Additionally, because of the reishi mushroom and botanical terpenes, the mocktail can be used as a pick me up when you’re feeling foggy. The terpenes used in the blend: limonene, pinene, beta-caryophyllene, myrcene, and linalool work together to lend to an alert, yet relaxed state of being that induces a clear-headed and calm feeling. Megan said it best when describing terpenes, “THC is the gas pedal of a car, CBD is the braking mechanism, and Terpenes are the steering wheel that drive the experience”.
The THC gummies are the newest product on the Michigan shelves. These little helpers are thoughtfully microdosed with 2mg of the nano-emulsified THC, making them the perfect option for micro-dosing. Nano-emulsion technology allows for THC and/or CBD to be water-soluble, and therefore more easily absorbed in our bodies. This leads to a quicker activation time, as the cannabinoids no longer need to be digested, and will enter the blood through a sublingual pathway before also absorbing in our stomach and small intestines. Along with activating quicker, the effects from a nano-based product will affect you stronger as well. It’s thought that when ingesting nano products, you should halve the dose you take of typical THC. For example, if 5mg of THC is typically your dosing point, we suggest starting with 2.5mg of nano-emulsified products. Playfully designed for maximum fun, the gummies are in the shape of a mushroom to allow users to start with the stem or cap in order to find the perfect dose. If you’re looking for lighter effects, you’ll want to start with the stem. If you are looking for something a bit stronger, the cap is a good starting point.
If you find yourself turning to cannabis for mood enhancement, Little Saints should be your first stop. Microdosing cannabis can do wonders for your mental state without fogging it up with too many cannabinoids. As our bodies are built to process cannabinoids, we recommend microdosing as often as you can. Regularly feeding cannabinoids into your endocannabinoid system, at small rates, can help unlock many benefits: relief from inflammation, anxiety, and stress may all be supported! We can all use a little extra help to get through the day, why not get by from the help of a Little Saint?
