HARNESSING SUNLIGHT

The Aunt Sparkie’s Team grows in greenhouses to allow them to harness the power and quality of natural sunlight for their plants. Their plants do extremely well in the natural sunlight without expending energy battling the tother natural elements that an outdoor grow has. When sunlight is not available to us on cloudy days or short winter days, they do supplement with artificial lights in order to keep our habitat at optimal levels. Growing with the sun allows them to reduce their electric usage compared to an indoor grow.
REUSING SOIL & PLANT MATERIAL

Aunt Sparkie’s soil is an advanced eco system filled with micro and macro organisms that constantly regenerate the soil to its optimal level. Unlike most grows, the team never throws out our soil after a harvest. Instead, they re-use the same soil harvest after harvest giving careful attention to its composition and needs. The soil gets better and better as time goes on.

Aunt Sparkie’s packages their cannabis in Miron violet glass. These jars block the harmful light spectrums while letting in the beneficial UV rays. This greatly extends the shelf life of our flower. We chose to package in glass because it is more environmentally responsible, and it is a recyclable material.

Aunt Sparkie’s is a Certified Kind Organic facility. They use only certified organic supplements to amend their soil and feed their plants along with fresh water. Unlike a lot of other commercial grows, they do not have any waste water run-off. All of their amendments stay in the soil where they belong preventing any contamination of our local watershed.
The team chose to grow organically because it creates a healthier end product for the customers and it is the most ecologically responsible way to grow cannabis.

The pots the team uses for their mother & veg plants are unique to the industry. They use re-usable cloth pots for all of their growth stages. When the babies are ready to go into veg they are housed in 2 gallon Grassroots pots that have Velcro siding. When it is time to move to the flowering stage, the team simply opens the pot using the Velcro and transplant them into the large greenhouse beds. We then re-fill the pots with soil from our greenhouse to be used by the next set of clones.

$1 of each unit sold will be donated to Freedom Grow, a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping cannabis prisoners regain freedom; it also uses funds to support them during incarceration by providing commissary money, prison outreach, and public education.
